All our servers are hosted in France, in a datacenter located in Martigues. This ensures low latency for European users and GDPR compliance for your data.

Our French team is reachable via ticket from your client area. Support is included with all plans.

Yes, our plans are commitment-free. You can cancel at any time from your client area. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No cancellation fees.

Yes. All our servers are hosted in France, in compliance with GDPR. We do not transfer any data outside the European Union. See our privacy policy for details.

Both are offered at order. We recommend the SSH key: more secure than a password (unbruteforceable, never transits the network in clear, resilient to third-party server leaks). The root password remains available if you prefer: it is securely provided in your client area. You can change your key anytime from your client area.

By default, each VPS is network-isolated from other VPSes in our infrastructure (anti-pivot policy: a compromised VPS cannot attack its neighbors). If you own multiple VPSes under the same account and want them to communicate privately, open a support request from your client area: we will add an explicit exception for your IPs, at no extra cost.

From your client area, service page, click Modifier ma clé SSH in the Actions column. Paste your new public key: a confirmation email is sent to your account address (valid 15 minutes). Click the link to activate the rotation, then reboot your VPS (or run sudo cloud-init clean --logs && sudo cloud-init init from the web console). The double validation (email link + active session) protects your access even if your client account were to be compromised.

Each Hostynet VPS has dedicated IP addresses according to the offering: Dual-stack VPS = 1 public IPv4 + 1 public IPv6 ; IPv6-only VPS = 1 public IPv6 only. Additional IPs as paid add-ons are not currently offered.

Outbound SMTP port (TCP/25) is blocked by default on all our VPS to prevent spam abuse and protect the reputation of our IP pool. To send mail from your VPS, use an external transactional email relay or authenticated SMTP on TCP/587 (SMTPS/STARTTLS) to your own third-party provider.

We do not offer custom reverse DNS on request. You retain full control of forward DNS (A / AAAA records) at your registrar: your domain points to your VPS IP as you wish. Almost all use cases (web hosting, game server, API, bot, etc.) only require forward DNS.

We never bill traffic by volume: no GB/month quota, no overage fees. The only limit is the guaranteed bandwidth of your offering (see the product grid: e.g. 200 Mbit/s on VPS-2, 500 Mbit/s on VPS-4). Manifestly abusive usage (amplification attack participation, continuous bot traffic saturating the link, etc.) may be subject to intervention, but no surcharge will ever be applied.

From the Hostynet dashboard, create an account by email, or sign in directly with Google or Discord. You then manage all your orders and services from a single client area.

Yes. You can enable 2FA (authenticator app) from your client area to secure your account, on top of your password. If you signed up with Google or Discord, you can also set a password to add extra protection.

Yes, a free VPS is available to explore the platform (limited resources, subject to availability). You can then upgrade to a paid plan without reinstalling.

Our VPS support a wide range of Linux distributions: Ubuntu (20.04 / 22.04 / 24.04 LTS), Debian (12 / 13), AlmaLinux (8 / 9 / 10), Rocky Linux (8 / 9 / 10), CentOS Stream (9 / 10), Oracle Linux (8 / 9 / 10), Fedora (41 / 42), Alpine (3.22 / 3.23) and openSUSE Leap 16. You get full root access, choosing at order between an SSH key (recommended) or a root password, plus a web console (noVNC) directly available from your client area. At order, you choose your authentication method: SSH key (recommended) or root password. After receiving the welcome email with your public IP, connect from your terminal: ssh root@YOUR.PUB.LIC.IP. With an SSH key, your private key must be in ~/.ssh/ (if you did not provide a key at order, a pair is generated and made available in your client area). With a password, enter the root password securely provided in your client area. A web console (noVNC) is also available from your client area.

We recommend setting up your own backups. You are responsible for your data. Our optimization guide includes backup tips.

A complete guide is available in our knowledge base (Windows / macOS / Linux). Simplest command: ssh-keygen -t ed25519 -C "your-email". The public key to paste at order time is at ~/.ssh/id_ed25519.pub.

Yes, network anti-DDoS protection is included on every game server, at no extra cost and with no impact on latency. Each server runs on an isolated hypervisor (anti-pivot isolation: a compromised neighbor cannot attack your server), hosted in France.

If you want custom photos of your business, we can put you in touch with a partner photographer who will deal with you directly (separate quote and timeline, outside Hostynet scope). For illustrations, videos or drone shots: provided by you upfront, we integrate them once received.

Three milestones: 30% on quote signature, 40% on mockup approval, 30% on final delivery. Payment by SEPA transfer, credit card or Revolut. Once the site is live, the monthly subscription (hosting and maintenance) takes over.

Beyond that, we offer additional time packs at degressive rates: 1 h at €60 excl. tax, 5 h at €250 excl. tax (€50/h), 10 h at €450 excl. tax (€45/h), 20 h at €800 excl. tax (€40/h). DZ clients: 1 h at 6,000 DZD, 5 h at 25,000 DZD, 10 h at 45,000 DZD, 20 h at 80,000 DZD. Hours valid 12 months, carry over month to month. For larger evolutions (new features, redesign), we provide a specific quote.

Yes, we have dedicated pricing for Algeria (5 packs in dinars, payment by international CIB). Sites can be bilingual FR/AR if you wish. Algerian clients are exempt from French VAT (export outside EU). Our representative in Algeria can speak with you in French or Arabic.
